America's Nannies specializes in the placement of full time live in nannies nationwide. We have been placing nannies since 1984.

Family Interview

Our family interview covers all aspects of the job including:

duties
hours
obligations
personality
ages of the children
living conditions
discipline methodology
health and behavior of the children

nanny salary
benefits
discipline methodology
the home environment
family expectations
neighborhood descriptions
vehicle availability and limitations
all family preferences for the nanny in the search process

Also, included are specialized areas such as pets, pools, special need children, etc.. It is this intensive application which provides us with the information we need to better match a nanny to your family's needs. All applications are completed on the phone or in person. No applications are mailed or faxed out. We want to get to know you, and we can do that a lot better on the phone than by reading a piece of paper.

Fees & Guarantee Policy

$195 non refundable application fee, not applicable to the placement fee OR
$350 application totally applicable to the placement fee and which may valid for a second search
12% of the first year's annual salary
Salary ranges: Minimum salaries typically begin at the $450 per week level and go up from there.
8 Week guarantee - 5 weeks are 100% replacement, week 6 is 75%, week 7 is 50% and week 8 is 25% credit toward a replacement
There are many cheaper agencies, there are none better!

Nanny Screening Process

Our in depth and unique interview and screening process for the nannies includes:

more than one interview
a basic application
a federal I-9 form
comprehensive health form
signed release for Criminal
DMV and Social Security number verification
Completion of a 22 essay question questionnaire

References are questioned about the applicant's:

job performance
work habits
attitude
personal habits
personality
methods of discipline

driving
general responsibility
communication
relationships with children
family members

When a family is interested in making a hire upon confirmation of references, contact may be made with the providers.

The Success Factor

All matching is done on a line by line match between the nanny and family applications, so that families are not referred to nannies that will not be interested in their positions. This saves the family valuable time and makes for quicker longer lasting placements.

Families should always keep in mind that the relationship they build with their nanny is the primary ingredient in keeping a nanny on after the placement is made. Families are also urged to work expeditiously.
