NANNY ONLINE APPLICATION
Welcome to America's Nannies. Because we specialize in placing nannies only (instead of all domestics) we are better able to serve you and your needs. There is never a fee to a nanny and your transportation costs to the job will always be paid by the family. We also require all potential family employers to complete a lengthy application to make sure that the jobs they are offering meet our strict standards.
This application is a long one and very thorough, but it allows us to better understand and represent you to families seeking nannies. Being a nanny can be a great experience provided that you are matched with a family that is suitable to you. Therefore, when being interviewed by a family, always feel free to ask as many questions as you like, about the family, the children, the expectations, the neighborhood, the accommodations, etc. We in turn will refer you only to families that offer what you are looking for in your new job. Once you are hired, we will put you in touch with our network of nannies already working near you, so that you will be able to find new friends and associates very easily.
America's Nannies has long been recognized as a nanny advocate and has striven to raise the level of respect accorded the position by the general public. I have appeared regularly on numerous TV commentary reports to let the public know that it is as important for the nanny to know about the family as it is for the family to know about the nanny. We also expect our families to treat the nannies we place respectfully, with dignity and to stick to the established job description. In other words, we will not allow nannies we place to be assigned general housekeeping as part of their responsibilities. As a nanny, you are responsible for the children while you are on duty as well as the laundry, cooking and housekeeping for the children only. A nanny may elect to work with a family that wants some family laundry or cooking, but that is not a requirement with our agency. We will be happy to place you even if you choose not to participate in laundry or cooking for the family.
We seek to find better jobs for quality nannies and that is why our application is so long both for families and nannies. A prompt response and a complete application including at least three references gets your application the best attention.
